As we continue to grow, we are seeking a full-time Construction Project Manager to join our energetic and dedicated team in Sarasota. Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scheduling: You will create and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and critical path milestones. By leveraging your experience in CPM scheduling and project management software, you’ll keep every aspect running smoothly and on track.
- Resource Management: Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that all materials, labor, and equipment are available at the right time. An organized approach enables you to prevent delays and ensure that every contributor understands their responsibilities.
- Quality Assurance & Control: Your job goes beyond meeting deadlines. You’ll also ensure that all work aligns with specified standards, building codes, and client expectations. Conduct regular site visits, track progress, and quickly address any quality concerns.
- Budget & Cost Control: Work closely with our internal accounting and procurement teams to manage project budgets, approve invoices, and monitor spending. Your attention to detail and urgency regarding project schedule and costs will help maintain financial health throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communication & Documentation: Keep everyone in the loop through regular updates, progress reports, and timely responses to inquiries. By maintaining accurate, comprehensive documentation—such as RFI logs, meeting minutes, and project schedules—you help ensure transparency and accountability.
- Relationship Building: Stellar Development values long-term partnerships. You’ll foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring open communication and mutual respect. Managing the owner’s expectations and delivering on commitments are central to your success.
- Problem-Solving: Construction projects can be complex and unpredictable. As issues arise, you’ll use your problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to identify solutions, adapt strategies, and keep the project on course.
- Compliance & Safety: Stay updated on local, state, and federal construction regulations and industry best practices. Your adherence to safety guidelines and environmental standards contributes to a secure and efficient work environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in construction management is strongly preferred. Direct experience with commercial projects and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks at once will set you apart.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is required. This academic background ensures you have the foundational knowledge to excel in this role.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfort with CPM scheduling, project management software, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential. Familiarity with other industry-specific tools and technologies is a bonus.
- Organizational Excellence: Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work are essential. You must excel in prioritizing tasks and managing overlapping deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Communication Skills: You must be a skilled communicator—capable of relaying complex information simply and clearly. Whether interacting with clients, superintendents, or subcontractors, you should be able to build trust, inspire confidence, and motivate teams to achieve their best.
